D&D with DM Robby

D&D is back with your favorite Dungeon Master, Robby!

If you have any questions or want help building a character, email the dungeon master at dungeonmastervt@gmail.com.

"My friends:

The guard has fallen. The Royal Family flees in shame. And yet, we peasants stand. We will defend our farms and families to the last, with pitchforks and scythes if we must. Take up the arms of your fathers and mothers, and prepare yourselves. If we survive, this will be the story of a lifetime."

You are the last bastion of the small coastal city of High Moor, and the only thing standing between the coming horde and the destruction of the world. This enemy has no thoughts other than destruction and hunger, and will not hesitate to trample any that stands in its way. Can a small community of simple people become heroes, or will they fall to overwhelming force?

This session will be a thematic-based challenge for character creation, so please reach out if you have any questions or concerns! If you need help building a character, Robby can be reached at dungeonmastervt@gmail.com and is more than happy to help you build a character for this session.

Rules:

Character level is 5, and must be built using any published books, nothing homebrewed.

If you would like to build a magic user (not including magic-based subclasses ex eldritch knight), they will be part of the Monastery. This does not mean you have to be a cleric or paladin, but you are part of a holy order all the same.

If you would like to build any other kind of warrior, choose 1 simple melee weapon, or a longsword/battleaxe/warhammer. If you would like to dual wield, you may take 2 light weapons. If you would like to take a farming tool for thematic reasons (pitchfork, wheat scythe), reach out to Robby so he can give you the stats for the weapon.

You may NOT take any ranged weapons, but you will be given one if you would like.

For armor, you may take leather armor, studded leather armor, or a chain shirt. You may take a simple wooden shield if you are using a one-handed weapon.

You will be defending the wall, and trying to keep the horde from breaking down the gate. If they do, you must hold them back at all cost. You will be given weapons for defending the wall, but when the gate falls you are on your own. Good luck, your ancestors watch over you.

P.S. For those who have been waiting for the power session, I apologize for the delay and promise that we will hold the session in August. I am working to make it even more worth the wait."

Please note: This game meets in person.
