​Inspired by the work of the late artist and curator David Driskell, this illuminating documentary spotlights the indelible contributions of some of the foremost African American artists in today's contemporary art world, including Theaster Gates, Kerry James Marshall, Faith Ringgold, Amy Sherald, and many more.  Directed by Sam Pollard.

The Black Is Beautiful Film Series is curated and hosted by poet Rajnii Eddins.  The series features monthly films by Black film directors.  The films range from the well-known Hollywood blockbusters to award-winning independent films.  Please join us for an afternoon of entertaining and engaging movies!
