Watercolor Workshop for Beginners                                Pickering Room

There are Oceans of Possibilities in this summer's library programs.  Learn how to work with watercolors from James Biehl in this 2 hour class for beginners and those wanting to improve their watercolor techniques.  All materials needed will be available at the workshop.  Registration required and limited.  Contact Barbara Shatara at bshatara@burlingtonvt.gov to register and for more information. James Beihl is a professional illustrator based in Williston VT. James comes out of a scifi/fantasy background having studied at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY. In addition to his fantasy work, he has worked as a professional pumpkin sculptor for Rise of the Jack O'Lanterns as well as a comic book artist for Glass House Graphics talent agency. James' works in a variety of different media including Oil, Acrylic, and Watercolor. He can be found throughout the year attending comic conventions. In addition to his illustration work James has been teaching students of all ages and skill levels drawing and painting since 2017 for various institutions including the Atelier At Flowerfield in NY as well as Burlington City Arts in Vermont.
