Vermont Online Library (or VOL), is brought to you in part by the Vermont Department of Libraries. Gale's suite of databases is a one-stop source for news and magazine articles on a wide range of topics: business, current events, economics, education, health care, literature, biographies, art, auto repair (Chilton's) and science. The Burlington Free Press began as a weekly publication in 1827. In 1848, it became a daily newspaper, except for Sundays, which were added in 1965.
