Rebecca Wragg Sykes is an archaeologist, writer, and creative professional. She has been fascinated with the past since childhood, and was especially drawn to the ancient world of the Palaeolithic. Her doctoral thesis was the first synthesis of evidence for late Neanderthals in Britain.

She will show you how she cleans, prepares, and protects fossils that come to the museum from the field. She and paleobiologist Karma Nanglu will answer your questions and connect you to this important and fun work.

This Facebook Live event will feature author, former state legislator, VPR commentator, and well-known beekeeper and home brewer Bill Mares; VT State Librarian and award-winning baker Jason Broughton; and farmer and co-creator of the Cooking Through Covid Facebook group, Natalie Guillette.
