Afro-Punk (2003) is an award winning documentary film directed by Non-Fiction Comics Festival’s keynote presenter, James Spooner, exploring the roles of African Americans within what was then an overwhelmingly white punk scene across the United States of America.
This is a free screening at the Roxy Theater, 222 College Street, Burlington.

Green Mtn. Book Fest: Banned Book Open Mic
Books are under siege in many parts of the country. Please join other community members in support of freedom of speech - participate in this public reading of banned books. Bring your own or read from ones we have onsite.
All ages are invited to sign up for this live open mic reading of passages from banned books. To participate, sign up in person at the library on the day of the event.
Readings will be held at the old Carnegie Library entrance
